long-legged fly - Condylostylus occidentalis - Male
Redway, Humboldt County, California, USA

This is Condylostylus longicornis, right? It goes as far north as Humboldt County in CA?

Moved
Moved from Longlegged Flies.

Condylostylus occidentalis
Thanks John. The lack of obvious wing markings confused me. I see now there are other occidentalis in the guide that look like this one.

Dark veins
There is a faint shadow along the veins where the dark markings will develop later. Several "new" species have been described in this genus based on specimens with faint wing markings.
