Right ID…
This is the most common NA member of the genus. There is much variation in terms of size and color, but females are generally 8-12 mm in length. Townes, in his description of this beast, said that the up-curved, laterally flattened, mat (rather than polished) ovipositor that tapers towards the apex is unique among ichneumonids.
