Tachytes

Tachytes
Lake Roosevelt, Ferry County, Washington, USA
August 17, 2007
Here's a different angle on the species of wasp discussed in http://bugguide.net/node/view/156253#207096. I've been meaning to post this for a while.

Larrini.
Probably either Tachysphex (generally small to tiny) or Tachytes (small to medium, sometimes large).

Probably Tachytes then
It's sizable at about 5/8 inch long. Thanks much Eric.
