An interesting tridactylid that is common in yellow sand scrub at Tiger Creek, and has also been collected at the A.D. Broussard Catfish Creek Preserve. It appears to be a new species of scrub-inhabiting Ellipes close to E. eisneri.

This species is sympatric at Tiger Creek with another more common scrub tridactylid, Neotridactylus archboldi:
