Hairy black beetle with white top hat on elytra - Enoclerus moestus

Hairy black beetle with white top hat on elytra - Enoclerus moestus
Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, USA
August 16, 2018
Size: ~9mm
I found it on a hot day on a leaf of a still growing sunflower. When I eventually tried to catch it, it played dead and fell down, disappearing for a while. It's worth noting the abdomen was bright red as can be seen in another picture.

Maybe...
Enoclerus moestus?

Seems like it
I especially like it when I find something that doesn't have a lot of photos, because I feel like I found something rare.
