Leptinotarsa decemlineata

Leptinotarsa decemlineata
Batavia, Kane County, Illinois, USA
June 27, 2018

Moved
Moved from Beetles.

Correct, this is L. decemlineata.
Two rows of black lateral sclerites on a pinkish-orange body, and a black head and legs separate this from even other Leptinotarsa species. Late instar L. decemlineata also develop bicolored prothoracic plates, with the posterior being black as you see here.
