Stink bug?

Stink bug?
southern Adirondack Mts., Saratoga County, New York, USA
August 15, 2018
Time 15:30, temp ~80 F, sunny and humid. Subject slowly moved around on Verbena(?) post-bloom flower-stalk. Looks to me like family Pentatomidae, but I’m not sure of genus, species, or life stage (adult or nymph).
