Very tentative ID.

Ostrinia multispinosa Yang, 2021?
Moved from Frass.

Yes! It does matter. Glad this was still in frass and not deleted. This matches the holotype, BOLD sample 06-FLOR-0419, of Ostrinia multispinosa Yang, 2021, n. sp., Systematic Entomology, 46(4): 827-838 (PDF). I suspect that this and your other example are that species.

Edit - Less certain now. Yang (2021) says, "... [O. multispinosa] forewing transverse markings and dentate subterminal band are somewhat less defined" compared to O. obumbratalis.

same as
https://bugguide.net/node/view/1579186/bgimage

only one image of the moth is needed for the guide.

Different observation
They are 2 different moths. Does that matter?
