This is a new US record. It will be included in the next checklist update of the Noctuoidea of America North of Mexico. Moved from Agaristinae.

 
Not new
Did you happen to see the type locality? San Francisco, CA. Must have been a stray unless there was a printing error. I added the references.

I also added the images to MPG. Thanks!

Edit: Todd (1966) views the type locality as an error.
