Explanation of Names

Specific epithet in honor of Mrs. Edna L. (Hyatt) Beutenmüller, "who not only makes beautiful drawings of insects, but collected most of the larvae, the notes of which appear in this paper." (2) Her husband William Beutenmüller collected the type specimen and other material forming the subject of this paper.
