Size: ~1cm
Found on a milkweed plant. In the colony of milkweed there seemed to be quite a number of these. Each with their own milkweed plant. I'm thinking it wasn't a Bold Jumper because there was no iridescence.

It
is audax.
The iridescent scales are along the sides, down the center, and side to side, encompassing the pairs of flat black patches.

I should have mentioned the most obvious example is between the white basal band (behind head) and white central spot. The iridescent scales can be seen around the pair of flat black patches.
Here’s an example similar to audax where the lighting made the iridescence a little easier to see:
