Bumble Bee - Bombus vagans

Bumble Bee - Bombus vagans
N47° 30' 39.08" W52° 45' 26.99" Killbride, Northeast Avalon, Newfoundland/Labrador, Canada
August 28, 2018
Size: 15 mm nose to body rear.
I was helping a friend tear down a rotten shed so they could build a new one. During the process of ripping up the floor, I damaged a Bumble Bee nest that I had no idea was there. The bees went into a frenzy and I got stung on my hand. I had never been stung by a Bumble Bee before and was expecting it to feel like a honey bee sting. It hurt way worse. The good news is that the pain only lasted 15 minutes. The bad news is that the nest had been destroyed. I felt badly about that. I didn't have my macro camera with me, so I caught one bee and brought it home to take these photos. I am not sure why it looks wet. The jar it was in was dry. It also looks small to me. Is it possible it was not mature? Can anyone ID species?
