Tiny fly larva?
Takoma Park, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA

Size: 5mm
Found on Common Milkweed. Not sure if it was eating milkweed or not. First photo on 8/26/18, possible fly larva? Second photo from rearing container, 9/1/18, possible pupa? Thanks

Syrphid larva
It was presumably eating aphids on the milkweed. It is in the process of pupariating in the second photo.
