What type of Metalmark? - Calephelis nemesis - Female
San Antonio, Bamberger Park, Bexar County, Texas, USA

The dark band on this specimen suggests a Fatal Metalmark (Calephelis nemesis) to me, but is this correct?

Excellent solution, Nick.
I'll remember this one, as it comes up often.

There are three metalmarks in your county
per butterfliesandmoths.org and Butterflies through Binoculars the West.

Fatal, the only one I've seen and shot
Rounded
Rawson's, which is apparently rare

I'd say this is Fatal and feel most of your day's post are Fatal as well. (I'll make individual comments where I feel comfortable doing so.)
