just a guess
in my audubon book, pic 659, there is a spider called a desert loxosceles that looks a whole lot like your spider.

I'll plug that info in and see if BGN has info on that one.
I am pretty sure it isn't one of the Brown recluse spiders! This spider has 2 rows of 4 eyes; the recluse has only 6 eyes.
