Huge Dragonfly - Anax junius - female

Huge Dragonfly - Anax junius - Female
Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina, USA
September 3, 2018
Size: Wingspan 5-6"
Female (was laying eggs) in my pond. She had a fluttery-wing motion that I've never noticed before. Wingspan was as large as some of my water lilies' leaves.
