Great news! Thank you for all of the updates. I have most of the leaf tiers here--I am hoping some of them will successfully pupate.

I'd looked for mines on this plant for at least the last two years and have never found anything... I suppose population cycles and/or variation in space could easily explain this... perhaps suggesting that plants on which I have seen no miners may yet yield some, if given enough time or if I look in enough sites. The crazy thing about this one is that the mines don't even take up the entire leaf width, even as narrow as the leaves are!

When I was taking photos of a larva mining a leaf last night, I was surprised to see that it was actually making a second pass--it had mined up the leaf in a super-thin mine and had doubled back and was now mining back down, still with room to spare.
