Thanks. I'm a longtime birder
Thanks. I'm a longtime birder and butterflyer but have recently started mothing. I have a habit of checking on who has helped with an ID for me. I agree with your assessment about a lack of moth data. I did a west to east check from Iowa to New York on BAMONA. The butterfly specie numbers are fairly consistent, but the moths have some wide range. Illinois only has a little more than half of Indiana. Ya gotta stay up late to git'er done. And some say- but moths are drab. I say to look at Callopistria floridensis. With flash it's a beaut. I was recently credited with the first Indiana sighting for both BG and MPG. Some days I sleep in shifts.
