The bee appeared entirely covered with shaggy golden hairs, on its face, thorax, abdomen and legs. Feeding on wild sunflowers in an arid environment.

nice, but your measurement -
has got to be 15 mm. No bee is 15 cm long! The world's largest, Wallace's giant bee (Megachile pluto) females can be as much as 39 mm.
