Not Archilestes?
Chapter 14 of An Introduction to the Aquatic Insects of North America by Merritt, et. al. says that the caudal gills of Lestes “never” have “2 distinct and complete dark crossbands”. It also says that the gills of Archilestes do. Does that statement indicate that this specimen is Archilestes rather than Lestes?
