Cannabis aphid - Phorodon cannabis

Found on industrial hemp plants, i.e. Cannabis sativa with a tetrahydrocannabinol content less than 0.3%, in Kentucky. The specimens identify were validated by an entomologist familiar with this aphid. This looks to be a new insect to this guide and a first report in the state of Kentucky.

Agree.
That nice close up of the finger-like projections helps.

I agree that this is Phorodon cannabis, Phorodon humuli has also been reported on Cannabis sativa, but has much larger and dusky colored projections.
