Honey Bee? - Apis mellifera - female

Honey Bee? - Apis mellifera - Female
Bullitt County, Kentucky, USA
September 12, 2018
Honey Bee? on white wingstem. Western Honey Bee (Apis mellifera)? confused by the western label - seems to be everywhere.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

I think that the name originates from a reference to the Western hemisphere. This species originally came from Europe. European Honey Bee is another common name.

European Honey Bee
European Honey Bee does make sense - don't know why there were not any monthly records for Kentucky. I'm sure they are most everywhere pollinating our crops! (And our flowers!)
