Unidentified Spider - Araneus
southern Adirondack Mts., Saratoga County, New York, USA
September 15, 2018
Time 11:11 a.m. Temp mid 70s F, sunny. Suspended from a deck railing of a house in a small clearing surrounded by mixed forest. Body length estimated 10 to 15 mm. The close-up photos are my attempts to show the spider’s “face”, after it had moved to a solid surface.

Perfectly harmless and beneficial orb weaver
genus Araneus, not sure which species :(
