Megalodacne fasciata? - Megalodacne fasciata

Megalodacne fasciata? - Megalodacne fasciata
Edgewater/SERC, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
October 2, 2018
I found this Megalodacne sp. while doing field work today. I think it's M. fasciata based on the fine punctures visible on the elytra in this image. Can you confirm? Thanks!

Moved
Moved from Beetles.

Keeping for data point.

The fine punctures are diagnostic, but even in the field you can be pretty sure, the orange pattern at base of elytra for M. heros curves back towards the scutellum

Thanks!
Did you just update the page comparing M. fasciata and M. heros? Thanks!

I would also lean towards M. fasciata
based on the width of the lateral margins on the pronotum, but I have limited experience with this genus.
