Kleidocerys - Kleidocerys resedae

Kleidocerys - Kleidocerys resedae
Brookside Gardens, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
September 30, 2018
Size: 5mm to wingtips
Keys out to Kleidocerys resedae using Barber’s key (1) but confirmation/correction of the ID would be appreciated. TIA

couplet #s and features from the key
1) head shorter than pronotum
2) preocular regions longer than eye
4) corium not immaculate
5) commissure shorter than scutellum
6) intraocular region heavily heavily infuscated; “basal, terminal and apices and bases of 2nd and 3rd segments of the antenna fuscous” [Caveat: the apices of the 3rd segment aren’t fuscous. However, the other choice in this couplet is K. ovalis whose “intraocular region of the head” is “concolorous” according to Barber.]
