some kind of looper caterpillar? - Lapara coniferarum
Hilton Head, Beaufort County, South Carolina, USA
October 3, 2018
Spotted this while walking in a residential area. I think it is some kind of looper caterpillar....but I don't really know. Anyone have an idea? Thank you!

Moved
Moved from Sphinx Moths.

Lapara, guessing Southern down there?

Oh yes!
Thank you so much. That is it. I looked in the guide with that name and I have seen those moths here....just didn't know what they were. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out! Carol
