Eulonchus smaragdinus - Female
Greenfield, Monterey County, California, USA
June 6, 1985
Size: ca. 13 mm
It really is hard to catch the colors in a photo. The black, thin, curving structure at the left rear of the abdomen is the proboscis making a sharp upward turn. It was not that curved when the specimen was alive.
