Bot Fly Larva - Cuterebra

Bot Fly Larva - Cuterebra
Halfway, Baker County, Oregon, USA
October 7, 2018
Size: 20mm
I found two of these on the floor in my basement. It looks like a rodent bot fly larva (Cuterebra) based on images on this site. I put out traps and caught a mouse which I suspect was the host. It did not have any more obvious parasites but did have wounds on its neck where these probably exited.

Moved from ID Request.

Cuterebra, yes
and yeah it probably popped from the neck lesions

Thanks.
Now that I know these are in the area I will watch for the flies next spring/summer. I don't recall seeing any but obviously they are around.
