My friend, Denise, found this"tiny and ferocious guy"on the brown yardwaste recycling bags that were stacked in their garage which is not left open frequently. The bags had not been used. Separating the layers she found they were nesting in them. She'd appreciate any help getting an ID on these critters. Thanks so much.

This is a species of the parasitic Hymenoptera
Typically considered one of the "good guys" because the attack other insects that are often pests.

I can't tell for sure, but this looks suspiciously like a member of the family Braconidae, subfamily Microgastrinae, a group that attacks caterpillars.

Thanks Bob!
Now for a little research. Never thought of a "good" parasite :)
