leaf-cutter bees (sp.?) - Megachile

leaf-cutter bees (sp.?) - Megachile
Guilderland, Albany County, New York, USA
October 9, 2018
Is this a casual encounter, an attempted late season mating, or just curiosity? To my untrained eye, both bees (except for the obvious difference in size) appear similar. I posted a brief video of this encounter on YouTube https://youtu.be/mQGGoudf6VE
