Chionodes occlusa
Hodges collected a single brachypterous female Chionodes occlusa at Cottonwood Pass, Colorado. This may be the only known Nearctic example of a brachypterous gelechiid, as none are listed by Heppner. However, many flighted females of the species have been collected elsewhere; brachyptery could be an adaptation in this species to alpine habitat.
