Mycetophagidae? - Litargus connexus

Mycetophagidae? - Litargus connexus
Burnaby Mountain, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
May 5, 2018
Size: 3mm
I thought this was something in genus Mycetophagus but that 3 segmented antenna club is bothering me.
Could it be Litargus sp? maybe L. connexus? possibly introduced from Europe? According to Checklist of Beetles of Canada and Alaska 2nd Ed, We don't have any Litargus species in BC.
Need help!
Thank you!

Moved tentatively; very convincing...
Moved from Litargus.

great call, nice find... 4mm is a bit steep for connexus, tho
might be one of larger east Asian spp.
i'll show it around

Moved from Beetles.

Hi
I took it to an entomology museum to compare it with other Canadian species but could not find anything like this one. They also took a proper picture with a microscope (I will post it once I get the file) and the size turned out to be exacty 3.0mm. I will edit the previous eyeballed measurement.

I think it is
Hello

I'm from Belgium. If I would encounter it overthere I would defenitely call it Litargus connexus.

Also in Texas?
This observation from Texas on I naturalist also looks a lot like Litargus connexus.

I usualy find this species under dry bark of dead standing trees.
If this isn't already published...I would gladly cooperate in on a publication.
