I took it to an entomology museum to compare it with other Canadian species but could not find anything like this one. They also took a proper picture with a microscope (I will post it once I get the file) and the size turned out to be exacty 3.0mm. I will edit the previous eyeballed measurement.

This observation from Texas on I naturalist also looks a lot like Litargus connexus.

I usualy find this species under dry bark of dead standing trees.
If this isn't already published...I would gladly cooperate in on a publication.
