Polycesta crypta Barr 1949
Identification
It can be separated from P. cyanea on the shape of the lateral margins of the pronotum.

Remarks
When Barr looked at the black Polycestas from California he found yet another species hiding among the specimens of P. cyanea, hence he named it Polycesta crypta.
