I found these three at night
I found these three at night with headlamp on the ground near piles of old logs at a sawmill. I put them in a white bucket illuminated with a circline flourescent bulb inside the rim to give a good light bounce, landscaped to yeild a natural effect. I was able to lower my camera though the middle of the circline bulb to get these photos.

I tossed in a big eathworm and the two males pounced on it, joined eventually by the female. There was little left when they finished with it and turned their attention to procreation.

The female laid about twenty eggs, which hatched into active little white larvae that turned black in the space of an hour or so.
