Surinam Cockroach - Pycnoscelus surinamensis - female

Surinam Cockroach - Pycnoscelus surinamensis - Female
Weslaco, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA
October 23, 2004

It looks like an...
oriental cockroach.

Thanks Paul
It looks like this is the only female on the guide page.

Parthenogenesis
Actually they are all females. No males are known in the US. It is just that people forget to fill up the fields: adult/immature, male/female. This is deplorable because that info is very useful when using the Advance Search. I will try to fill in that info for the others.
BTW, if you can add the county, it would show up in Google maps when using the Advance Search.
It has no wings, so I assume that it is immature, rather than adult. See the others.

female Pycnoscelus surinamensis
I'm pretty sure this is an adult female of Pycnoscelus surinamensis in Blaberidae.
