Tx. I figured I'd get a response pretty quickly, since it's such as distinctive bug, but definitely out of my bailiwick. Reminded me of an Eyed Click Beetle, which are common in Virginia, but no eyes and the head shape was wrong. I'll pass the info along to my brother.
