Sarpedon scabrosus - male

Sarpedon scabrosus - Male
Ash Mountain, Tulare County, California, USA
June 13, 1984
Size: ca. 5 mm.
This little guy has great antennae. I've wondered about him for years. He's somewhat cylindrical in cross-section.

Yep
As a specialist of NA Eucnemidae, I have seen them in fairly decent numbers, especially in the central US like Oklahoma. It is Sarpedon scabrosus. I am on the hunt to look for the immatures of this species.

The females' are coarsely biserrate. I have 9 males and 3 females. I've taken a couple more pictures, but the battery died and I'll have to get a new one to download.

Sarpedon?
American Beetles mentions that Sarpedon scabrosus has bipectinate, but I haven't seen any specimens.

That does look like what I have in front of me. The antennae are an exact match.

Eucnemidae
at first glance

I agree with Eucnemidae.
I agree with Eucnemidae.

Melasis?
The antennae kind of look like the Melasis species on Bugguide, The California Beetle Project doesn't list many species for this family, though I don't know how accurate it is
