Size: approximately 5.5 mm.
This keys to the genus Paederus in (1) and keys to P. obliterates in (2). The image of the elytra is in focus showing that the punctures are very shallow.

The three species of Paederus
The three species of Paederus in the area are rather tricky to separate without dissection of males, I would say this should be Paederus sp., unless it can be verified by dissection.
