I'm not sure...
I suspect that the ID info was meant to help folks separate the two common Eastern species. I don't know if it's sufficient in California, where there may be more possibilities. The only CA specimens identified as
reflexulus
are yours--and a number of similar submissions have been left at the genus level by the experts. Just an observation, for what it may be worth. :)
