Please help Identify - Araneus

Looking to have someone identify this spider for me. It was taken on a 2" fence post on our farm. It's very large and it moves quite quickly, seems to be very athletic. The only stripes/bands on this spider are the white ones on his/her legs. Its base color is black and has sparatic tan colored hairs over his/her body and legs. Very curious to know the name of it. Thank you for your help.

male, genus Araneus. Will have to think more about possible species
