Range
Western Newfoundland to central British Columbia; north to Fort McMurray, Alberta, and Great Whale River, Quebec, and south, according to Rindge (1963), to Apache County, Arizona. Bolte, 1990.
Season
Adults from early June to late August. Larvae have been collected in August. Pupae, reared from larvae, emerged same year. Bolte, 1990.
Food
usually found on Ribes sp. (McDunnough, 1949; Anon. 1981; Juul 1948); in Europe also found on Humulus sp. (South, 1948); has been found and reared on Ribes sativum Syme (CNC); Prentice (1963) lists Picea glauca (Moench) Voss; probably in error. Bolte, 1990.
