Spitting Spider - Scytodes thoracica - female

Spitting Spider - Scytodes thoracica - Female
Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, USA
June 12, 2018
In the fall of 2017 I put a Spitting Spider in my backyard shed in hopes that it could overwinter because I'd already spared enough of them in my house. In June of 2018 I found this female (possibly great with child) in my shed hopefully consuming the hordes of Elm Seed Bugs inside. I would assume that these spiders are hardy enough to survive our winters. The shed is wooden and unheated. I don't know that it's the same spider I put out there, but I'm hoping.
