Spanioptila
Thanks Aaron. By near Spanioptila, do you mean it's a species in that genus but we're sure which one or could it a new species? I can't find anything in that genus in North America. The image of Spanioptila spinosum from Puerto Rico in the boldsystems data base looks similar, with the hairy legs, but too dark. He reminded me of creatures I've seen in caves with no melanin. This is the BOLD image of S. spinosum: http://v3.boldsystems.org/index.php/Taxbrowser_Taxonpage?taxid=763660

Hi John, I first became aware of this species in June 2017
when Richard Brown and I collected a small series of them at the Ouachita Mountains Biological Station (see my image here). Christi Jaeger dissected a pair and sent the images to Don Davis at the Smithsonian, but I have not heard anything about what he has said (if anything). Based on sleuthing I did last year, I believe this is belongs to Spanioptila, which indeed would be a new US record and possibly a new species. If you see any more, please collect them. I would be interested in examining them.
