Identification

Pterostigma 2.9‒3.6× as long as wide. T1 raised dorso-basally. Antennae black. =>H. anomalipes
Pterostigma 2.1‒2.5× as long as wide. T1 not raised dorso-basally. Antennae brownish. =>H. ruficornis

worldwide(1); in NA, most commonly found in ne.US (MI‒ME‒VA), the PNW, and California(2)
