Big ant thing, North Central Washington State - Ammopelmatus

Big ant thing, North Central Washington State - Ammopelmatus
Quincy, Grant County, Washington, USA
November 2, 2018
Size: 1.5 inch long
I was working on a basalt rubble wall when this rather large, ant-like creature suddenly showed up from who knows where. It was anxious to get away from me and did not seem to have any defensive behaviors other than freezing or trying to move away. I have never seen anything like it here or anywhere in Washington State.
