Came to a MVL/blacklight set up in a woodland area by a lake.

This appears
by your excellent shots to be a Heteropogon. But I don't think this is the expected H. macerinus. Does not look like mine anyway. A Heteropogon in this state that is not this species is very interesting. I tried to make this Hadrokolos but this does not fit. Will send to Eric.

I can't ID this species - even after comparing photos to representatives of all 25 N. Amer. spp. I agree with Herschel that it is not the widespread H. macerinus of the eastern U.S.; would have to have a specimen in hand to tell any more. Betsy, please try to find more of this interesting Heteropogon.
