Size: body 1.2mm
I’m not sure if this is
Ectopsocus californicus
or
E. briggsi
. The postclypeus looks dark in the head-on view so I assume it’s the former. TIA

Nice shots ...
Most likely Ectopsocus californicus but to be 100% sure would have to see the specimen up real close. This is a male. One can see the clunial comb on the dorsal abdomen. Mockford says one trait is "postclypeus contrastingly darker than rest of head. Your frontal view seems to show that trait.

What else would you need to see to confirm a species ID. These photos were taken under a microscope so I *might* have something else that's useful. Most of the photos didn't come out that well because the barklouse was running around the cuvette
