How harmful is this?
I live in Michigan and found a tick on my 10 yr old after he got out of the shower and it looks just like this picture. He was away for the weekend. Is it possible this tick has been on him for 3 days now? Should I be concerned, because I am. Should I worry that there may be others that I need to look for? Do they stay on clothes? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Melissa

A small percentage of ticks can spread disease
Most times tick bites are harmless. But if there is an infection, symptoms usually show up a week to 10 days after being bitten, and can be treated with antibiotics. Here's some information on this website.
