Size: 4.8 mm
Sweeping flowers at rest stop. Probably the same as previously posted (https://bugguide.net/node/view/1611348), but a better view of the head here. Interested in species: M. quadricolis vs concolor? Someone else posted a very similar one, also from northern California: https://bugguide.net/node/view/1411481

Mycterus canescens
Neither concolor nor quadricollis....it's the OTHER western sp.: M. canescens. Note the dark hind femur, which is diagnostic for this species.
