Hetaerina species
One of the rubyspots in the family Calopterygidae. Unfortunately, I have no books for southwestern damselflies.

 
Hetaerina vulnerata?
The brown wingtips suggest canyon rubyspot which fits the location where I found it. Thanks for pointing me in that direction!
